The Absurd Machine of the Possible Impossible started as a reflection about technology and society in the reading groups @ Hangar.org of the art collective Minipimer that I had the pleasure to be part of when I was living in Barcelona.

We presented the machine of the possible impossible at the Liwoli festival of art hacktivism and open culture at Linz, Austria. The idea was to create a collective art space during an open workshop, in which people learn together about basic electronics and software code.

The machine was similar to a huge slot machine, generating a random combination of words, constructing absurd funny sentences. During the workshop, people both learned about the computer code, adding words and parts of the sentence, and also learned about simple electronics by connecting buttons and sensors to the machine, mapping them to control the random selection of words in specific parts of the sentence.
